I made a surprise visit to Las Vegas last week to help out with our church’s VBS entitled: PandaMania!: Where God is Wild About You! It was great to be home for a little bit and do something I love. I didn’t get to meet my friends which sucked but it’s ok. They still love me.

The godless and sinful everywhere

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weakness, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.
This is Chris Powell. He is a fitness trainer and he is on the show “Extreme Makeover: Weight Loss Edition.” I’ve seen a few of the episodes and he inspires me. The way he pushes people and encourages them to lose weight but most importantly, love themselves, is simply outstanding. Through their difficult obstacles, mistakes, and even failures, he still believes in them and accepts them. Good man. I wish to meet him one day!
If the Lord is pleased with us, he will lead us into that land, a land flowing with milk and honey, and will give it to us. Only do not rebel against the Lord. And do not be afraid of the people of the land, because we will swallow them up. Their protection is gone, but the Lord is with us. Do not be afraid of them.
But just as you excel in everything-in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in complete earnestness and in your love for us-see that you also excel in this grace of giving.
For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, so that you through his poverty might become rich.
Yesterday, our office (the orientation board staff) and the admissions office had an intense game of kickball. No bad blood but pure competitive spirits between our offices. We won 10-9 after stopping them at the top of the inning. A hard fought battle. This is our victory picture. Nothing but love for these people. PASSPORT II is in a week. We’re ready to go hard, cause we’re not going home!
